Roads in the United States

The first concrete road was laid down in the United States in 1930, in Indiana, and later in the state of Illinois in 1940. In Texas, the first concrete highway appeared in 1951 in the city of Fort Worth.
Due to the complexities associated with the construction, concrete roads are less popular in other countries. Besides the United States, they are actively exploited only in Japan, Australia, China and several European countries.
Term US Highway service without major repairs is 25 years old. Despite this, in Texas, there are some areas of concrete roads of good quality, which work without major repairs for over 50 years! On average, American Concrete road live about 30-35 years, after they need repairs. Cool?
